Brazilian Jazz Quartet with Mark Sganga "one of the top guitarists in the New York area" - Brian Wilson, WOR-AM Radio; returns to the NFOPL Concert Series on March 18 at 4:00 PM with jazz bassist Martin Pizzarelli. They welcome vocalist Maucha Adnet and jazz drummer Duduka Da Fonseca to this Brazilian jazz quartet. Sganga will 'weave a rich tapestry of beautiful melody, dynamic rhythm, & imaginative improvisation, fusing influences from South America & around the world'.

Sunday April 15 at 4:00 PM: SONO AUROS- Flute/Harp/Cello Trio featuring Melanie Genin, harp; Lucian Rinaldo, flute; and Sam Magill, cello, performing works by Debussy, Jolivet, Dupin, and Rachmaninoff.

The New Friends of the Oakland Public Library Sunday Afternoon Concert Series is made possible by the generous support of the concert audience. The NFOPL Concert Series brings Metropolitan Orchestra, Broadway, Philharmonic, and internationally acclaimed musicians to perform in Oakland without the audience bearing the cost of tolls or parking.
