Museum Passes

The New Friends of the Oakland Public Library funds museum passes to the American Museum of Natural History and the Montclair Art Museum in order to expand the cultural opportunities open to Oakland residents, especially children. The Friends have delegated the administration of the program to the Oakland Public Library staff.  Please call Dianne at the Library for details at 201-337-3742.

American Museum of Natural History

Each $7 voucher entitles one person to general admission at the Museum, plus one special exhibition.  There is a maximum of 4 vouchers per patron.  Patrons will also receive the discounted Member's rate on additional special exhibition tickets they purchase that day.  For information about the Museum Click Here https://www.amnh.org/ or call (212-769-5100).

Montclair Art Museum

The Montclair Art Museum (MAM), along with its Yard School of Art, engages a diverse community through its distinctive collection of American and Native American art exhibitions, and educational programs that link art to contemporary life in a global context.   • Reserve a free pass to Montclair Art Museum.  Please provide a $40.00 (cash) refundable deposit for each voucher. (The deposit is refunded when voucher is returned on time) 
  • Each voucher includes free admission for two adults plus all children in the same household up to age 18, during Museum hours
  • 10% discount in The Store at MAM
